Late Summer Honey Harvest

The late summer harvest is always a highlight of the beekeeping year. The frames come out of the hives capped and shining, each one showing the result of months of steady work from the bees.

Once the honey has been spun, it settles in large tubs, which you can also see in the photos. These tubs hold the fresh harvest before it is gently poured into jars. It is a simple process, but seeing the tubs filled with warm, golden honey is always a satisfying sight.

From capped frames to settling tubs, the late summer harvest shows the full journey of the bees’ hard work. Each step is a reminder of just how much they achieve through the season.
